The verses are at the bottom. ^.^
We have the ability to make because our Creator does. When what we make becomes more important to us than the fact that it's causing more harm than good, something needs to be fixed. There are lots of examples of things that were once useful but have outlived said state, it's not saying these things were bad at all in their time. I mean "That Great City" is only used in the Bible twice and it's about Niniveh both times, so clearly not a bad thing, even Babylon wasn't bad at first, it was called to be used for correction, it turned bad. Egypt was a place of rescue before it became one of enslavement and cruelty at the hands of a phararoh who didn't know Joseph or his GOD. When it becomes more important to us than GOD is when HE says, "Let it go." it has become an idol and we will remained ensared in the monkey's trap until we let the nut go.
When Edom gets in us, it's hard to get out, and impossible to get out of completely until we are learned how to join the dance.
Our lives become no-things often because we hold no-things as more valuable than we are are. We are willing to let those things cost us our lives, when HE was willing to, and did, give HIS for each of us. The Author of Life dying so that we might live. Speaking to my old self, it was quite silly to be willing to trade life eternal for Edom thinking. A bad, quick-grap, instant gratification, me and mine alone, kind of thinking that gave me no room for anyone or anything else. Edom is descirbed like Gehenne (hell) because it's become as such, hell on earth for the broken little brother needing a hand. Not a place of child sacrifice and darkness worshipping like at Gehenne, rather a place of cold shoulders and indifference that in the end turns to malace. It's not a place of burning their babies because they want life to go their way, it's a place of mudering their brother/sister, because they got in the way. Both are heart places that need to be dealth with, both places HE is willing to pull us out from that we might walk free on solid ground, washed white as snow from the darkness and death of our sin, and all we have to do is cry out. What are you waiting for? HE'S waiting for your world, not focused your words. Cry out HE will hear.

I found it as part of the daily devotional, available on the YouVersion app called, "Who is the Holy Spirit? and What are your spiritual gifts? By Denison Forum. I rather enjoyed it and wanted to share.

I encourage you to go through on your own time with each of these verses and write down where HE as proven HIMSELF true, cause The Holy Spirit is a good, kind, gentle, and faithful friend, our rescuing friend because we cannot do it alone. We don't have to either as HE waits for us to welcome HIM into our hearts. JESUS is faithful, JESUS is KING, call HIS Name, Welcome HIS SPIRIT in, to fall upon you and fill you. HE Wants to do it, HE brought you here to tell you so.
