MOC Contest Rules:
1. The MOC Contest opens on 24th July 2023. You can enter until the end of Sun 27th August 2023, until midnight UTC / GMT. There is no guarantee that late entries can be considered.
2. There is no theme - MOCs can be entered on any theme.
3. One entry per person / per channel.
4. Your MOC must be your own design. If you collaborate with others or use elements of a design created by others, you must credit them in your video.
5. Your MOC must be made out of Lego. MOCs containing non-Lego elements will not be accepted unless they are visually indistinguishable from Lego. If you MOC is displayed against a non-Lego background (e.g. blue paper or a printed sky, for example), it will not be disqualified but the background won't be considered as part of the MOC. Use of lighting elements inside or attached to your MOC is permitted. Custom / customised minifigures can be used.
6. There is no piece limit.
7. You can enter any MOC that you have created, so long as it hasn't been entered into a previous Gold Puffin contest.
8. To enter, upload a video of your MOC & include #goldpuffin100k in your video description. You must also comment on this video to make me aware of your entry, otherwise I may not see your entry. If you don't wish to upload a video to YouTube, you can email a video or photos of your MOC to goldpuffinlegoanimation@gmail.com

Brickfilm Contest
1. The Brickfilm Contest opens on 24th July 2023. Entries can be submitted up until the end of the day Sunday 10th September 2023, until midnight UTC / GMT. There is no guarantee that any late entries can be considered.
2. Your entry must be a brickfilm - a stop motion animation made using Lego. You can use non-Lego elements in your brickfilm but it should be mostly animated with Lego. You can also use computer generated effects & images but your video shouldn’t be mostly or completely CGI. If you are unsure whether your video will count as a brickfilm, please contact Gold Puffin before entering.
3. I am the judge of the contest. I will score of aspects of the video such as lighting, voice acting, cinematography, story & script, animation of movement, emotional engagement / interest, camera angles & camera movement, sound effects, editing, pacing, & sound editing. However, these aspects are only a guide & ultimately which is the best brickfilm may be down to the synergy between elements & the overall impression created.
4. There’s no theme – your brickfilm can be about anything.
5. Please include the number 100 somewhere in your video, & something silver. These can be included in any way you like – as creative or simple as you like.
6. There’s no maximum or minimum length for your video.
7. Please don’t include swearing or NSFW content in your video. Moderate levels of fighting, violence, & mild gore are fine, as is mild bad language. Please do not include extreme gore, graphic scenes of torture, or anything hateful or offensive.
8. If you collaborate with others or ask other people to do voices don’t forget to put their names in the credits.
9. To enter, upload your brickfilm & include #goldpuffin100k in your video description. You must also comment on this video to make me aware of your entry, otherwise it is possible that I may not see your entry. If you do not wish to upload a video to YouTube, you can email your video to goldpuffinlegoanimation@gmail.com
10. Your channel name & a clip of your brickfilm may be shown in a Gold Puffin video when I announce the contest winner.

PRIZE:
There is a prize for the winner of the MOC Contest & a prize for the winner of the Stop Motion Contest. There is no prize for 2nd & 3rd place.
The winner of each contest gets a prize of any Lego set up to the value of 100 US dollars. The Lego set must be available to purchase at the time the prize is awarded, for the price of 100 US dollars or less. The prize will be delivered either by me purchasing the set online & entering the winner’s address into the delivery information, or by Gold Puffin sending a voucher to the winner to be used in the Lego store or another retailer. The winner may choose multiple sets with a combined value of 100 US dollars, or Lego pieces from the Lego website pick a brick with a total value of 100 US dollars.
