Easy Irish Soda Bread Recipe

4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon sugar
1 cup raisins or currants
1 2/3 cups buttermilk
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, baking soda, and sugar.
Add the raisins or currants and mix well.
Stir in the buttermilk until just combined.
Pour the batter into a greased 9x9 inch baking pan.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing.
Serve warm or at room temperature.
