We enjoy Kielbasa, cabbage, and potatoes, but these heads are too large for just the two of us. Simple solution - make Sauerkraut. Marti gives a step-by-step guide to preparing the cabbage, setting up fermentation, and how to can it for shelf-stable storage.
To make extra brine combine 1 quart of water with 1 1/2 tablespoons of salt in a saucepan, stirring until salt dissolved. Bring the brine to a boil. Remove from heat.
