0:45 You might think I’m joking about orthorexia, but there are actually people who believe this is a disease
1:25 These are the alleged risk factors of this disease

In this video, I explain about an alleged serious new disease called orthorexia. It was only recently invented! Let’s go down the list of symptoms and see if you should be concerned:

● You’re fixated on the quality of food you eat. You limit the food you eat to organic, whole, raw, and farm fresh.
● You believe you should avoid putting bad or unhealthy foods into your body.
● You cut out entire food groups from your diet: processed food, sugar, or gluten.
● You’re losing weight.
● You are increasingly concerned about avoiding GMO foods.

You might think I”m joking, but there are people who actually believe this is a disease. I swear sometimes this disease was made up by food manufacturers getting together in a room and deciding this is a way to scare people into eating their foods!

These are the alleged risk factors of orthorexia:

● Malnutrition. I’m trying to figure out how you become malnourished while eating quality food.
● Depression
● Anxiety
● Death, in rare cases. Really? You’re going to die by eating healthy foods and avoiding bad ones?
And the supposed cure they suggest is laughable: psychotherapy and drugs will cure you from this supposedly very dangerous disease.

But now you can tell just how ridiculous this alleged disease orthorexia really is.
