In this video, we're going to talk about what causes muscle cramps and what to do about it.

What causes muscle cramps and charley horses?

1. Medication (high blood pressure medication, high cholesterol medication, prednisone)
2. Too much calcium (consume high-quality European cheese instead of pills)
3. Too little magnesium (magnesium is the relaxation mineral of the muscles)
4. Too little potassium (not enough vegetables or a lot of stress)

Apple cider vinegar can mobilize calcium into the tissues and may really help alleviate cramps.

If you're deficient in vitamin B1, you may experience tenderness in your muscles. A great source of vitamin B1 is nutritional yeast.
