This is a comparative Bible study on the events surrounding the beginning of Jesus' Galilean ministry. This 41st part continues to discuss Jesus' naming twelve of His disciples to be apostles, in particular, the apostles Thomas, James the son of Alphaeus, and Judas brother of James (Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus). (Matthew 10:1-4; Matthew 12:14-21; Mark 3:6-19i; Luke 6:12-16). We also discuss other potential brothers of James the son of Alphaeus. Other verses referenced during this Bible study are: Acts 1:13; John 11:16; John 20:24; John 21:2; Mark 2:14; Acts 12:1-2; Acts 12:17; Acts 15:13; Acts 21:18; Galatians 2:9; James 1:1; Matthew 13:55; Mark 6:3; Galatians 1:19; John 2:12; John 7:3-5; Luke 8:19-21; Acts 1:14; 1 Corinthians 9:5-6; 1 Corinthians 15:5-8; Acts 3:22; Acts 7:26-27; Acts 11:29; Romans 9:3; Matthew 27:56; Mark 15:40; John 19:25; Jude 1. Overall, this is our 81st New Testament (NT) Bible study. I'm a layperson, hoping to witness things I believe I've learned through Bible study, and would like to share this information as a friend would with a friend.
