Former President Donald Trump told FOX News that would accept the role of House Speaker, at least temporarily, if it would help unify the Republican Party.

The statements come after Kevin McCarthy was ousted as Speaker of the House following a "motion to vacate" by Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL).

The Republican party will meet Tuesday to discuss who to nominate for House Speaker and it would be possible for Trump to attend the discussion.
