US says it Shot Down Turkish Drone over Syria, Turkey Denies

The US has said it shot down an armed Turkish drone operating near its troops in Syria.

This is the first time Washington has brought down an aircraft of NATO ally Turkey.

Meanwhile, a Turkish defence ministry official said that the drone did not belong to its armed forces.

This comes after a bomb blast rocked Trukey’s capital city of Ankara on Sunday.

The blast was claimed by the Kurdistan Workers' Party. Following that, Turkey also launched drone attacks targeting Kurdish targets.
