NEW VOLKSWAGEN T-CROSS 2024 #car_2024 #volkswagen #t_cross

Volkswagen has revealed the new and updated 2024 T-Cross for the European market. This update comes four years after the compact SUV debuted. The T-Cross has been a high-selling offering from Volkswagen and this update will also give us an idea of all the changes we could expect from the India-spec Taigun facelift.

2024 T-Cross Exterior

On the outside, the 2024 T-Cross gets a reworked fascia with a bold-looking grille and new IQ.Light LED matrix headlamps. A chrome strip running across the grille is neatly integrated with new signature LED DRLs. Similarly at the back, the thick slat of the taillamp setup now gets a newer LED lighting signature. Further, three new exterior paint schemes are part of the update – Solid Grape Yellow (seen in the pictures), Clear Blue Metallic, and Kings Red Metallic.

2024 Volkswagen T-Cross Interior
New infotainment generation and high-quality interior. The central element in the interior of the new T-Cross is the freestanding-looking infotainment display. The diagonal of the standard touch screen is 20.3 cm (8.0 inches); in the top version it is a display with a screen diagonal of 23.4 cm (9.2 inches). In addition, all versions of the four-door five-seater are now equipped with digital instruments as standard. The dashboard of the T-Cross has also been completely redesigned: As in larger VW models, softly upholstered and significantly higher-quality surface materials characterise the instrument panel. The same applies at the front for the door panels of the "Style" and "R-Line" versions. Manual air conditioning is fitted as standard, while automatic climate control ("Air Care Climatronic") with backlit touchsliders is available as an option.

The interior of the T-Cross has always been among the most spacious and versatile of compact SUVs. It scores with its sophisticated handling, balanced space for up to five people, the 140 mm sliding rear seat and its maximum variable load space. With all seats occupied, the T-Cross offers a luggage compartment volume of 385 to 455 litres when loaded to the height of the rear seat. Folding the rear seat (60:40 divisible) creates a flat load area with up to 1,281 litres of stowage volume (loaded to the height of the front seat backrests). In addition, the front passenger seat backrest can be folded as standard from the "Life" equipment line onwards. The 2,398 mm long continuous load area can accommodate everything from surfboards to paragliders.

Part of the update is the new advanced driver’s assist hardware. The 2024 T-Cross comes with adaptive cruise control, lane assist, traffic assist, and automatic braking. The rest of the cabin remains more or less unchanged. Most of these elements seen on the international-spec T-Cross are already present in the MQB-IN-based Taigun. We expect the newer touchscreen and additional features to be seen on the Taigun facelift in India as well, including the driver assist hardware.

Pre-sales will start in the fourth quarter of 2023. The T-Cross has conquered a top position among compact SUVs in just four years: around 1.2 million people have already opted for the versatile Volkswagen. With an average of around 300,000 units produced each year, the T-Cross, which is also offered outside Europe as the Tacqua and Taigun, is currently one of the most successful VW models worldwide.
