The news is going around the world. What does the conflict between Israel, Hamas and Palestine really mean?

The story I will share today will lead us to explore the importance of faith and divine promise in the conflict in Israel. According to the Bible, in Psalm 121:4, we read: “Behold, the guardian of Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps.” These words are more than just a biblical passage; They are a promise that has sustained the people of Israel for millennia.

Imagine the scenario of October 7, 2023. The world witnesses news that has shaken Israel's tranquility. A new conflict arose, bringing with it doubts about the divine promise. In the past, God has protected Israel from adversity, but now the country faces a different threat. This is not a conventional war, but rather a brutal attack led by Hamas, a radical Islamic group in Gaza. They used tunnels and ships to enter Israeli territory, causing destruction and spreading terror.

The Bible teaches us that God hates discord among brothers (Proverbs 6:16-19), and what Hamas did was exactly that: sow discord. The resulting destruction was devastating, with thousands injured and lives lost. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had no choice but to declare war to protect his people.

But who is Hamas and why this attack on Israel? Hamas is funded by Iran and has sinister ties. Iran has expressed its desire to remove Israel from the map and these events are not mere coincidences. The Bible had already predicted Israel's position in end-time events, as Jesus warned in Matthew 24 about the signs of the times and tribulations to come. Sometimes nations and peoples rise up against Israel, but God is always on the side of his people, fulfilling his promises.

In Ezekiel 37:21, God predicted the dispersion and restoration of Israel. After the Holocaust, when 6 million Jews died, Israel was reborn as a nation in 1948, against all odds. This is not just a coincidence, but a manifestation of divine power. The Bible also prophesied that Jerusalem would become a heavy stone to all the nations (Zechariah 12:3).

We must remember that behind Israel's resistance there is a divine promise. In Genesis 22:17, God promised that Abraham's descendants would be as numerous as the stars in the sky. God's word is true and will always be fulfilled. As we see these prophecies come to fruition, we must strengthen our faith and act in accordance with what the Bible teaches us.
