Tom Garrett is an inspiring young man from Peterborough, Ontario, Canada who has faced more challenges in his 28 years than most people face in a lifetime. He battled cancer in his teens and received a life-saving bone marrow transplant. Four years of treatments and more procedures than he can count are behind him now and he faces life with optimism, hope and an enthusiasm for life that is simply inspiring. Tom is somewhat of a local hero and has a great love for beautiful and exotic cars. He plays online games with friends that feature super cars and powerful machines and, like most of us, he always dreamed of a day when he might ride in a real one.

An anonymous gentleman, known as "Ghostrider" in the car scene, heard about Tom and his passion for cars. He was eager to make a dream come true for Tom and he even loaned Tom his Lamborghini Huracan for a few days. This put a huge smile on Tom's face and created an unforgettable experience for a very deserving young man. Ghostrider was so thrilled about Tom's reaction that he wanted to do something more. He very recently purchased another car for his collection; a Ferrari 458 Spider. The same day that he bought this gorgeous car, Ghostrider began planning another gift for Tom. He wanted Tom to be one of the first ones to enjoy this sweet ride. Within a few days, he sent the Ferrari to Tom's house to put another smile on his face. Tom suspected something special was happening but did not know exactly what. He couldn't believe his eyes when he saw the bright red beast waiting for him in the driveway. With the cameras running, Dave and Tom set out on another unforgettable cruise. For a whole evening, the two toured Peterborough, turning heads and collecting compliments on "Mr. Garrett's car". His reaction was priceless. He was in disbelief that someone he didn't even know would make this happen for him a second time.

Ghostrider is a modest philanthropist who quietly seeks opportunities to provide life changing experiences for people like Tom. He will accept no recognition for his good deeds. He simply asks that others look for ways that they can do a little good for the people around them. He calls it the Ripple Effect, but those who know him call it the Ghostrider Effect. Whatever you call it, it's a very beautiful thing!
