The Mess That Is The Fulton County Elections
The Fulton County Board of Elections seems to have brought more attention to the county's election process when it had announced that, by it's own choice, it was conducting a recount of all races in the General Election. The recount appeared to be an attempt to bolster public confidence in the elections department. However, the recount uncovered "batches of ballots" (see related video link below) that had been omitted in the original count. Perhaps the county should be more concerned about conducting transparent elections rather than trying to convince the public that it is doing a good job. The county would have accomplished this simply by conducting the recount (without fanfare) and then when it was discovered that ballots had been omitted, announced that an error had been discovered. The process worked! Just sayin'
