Every girl dreams of the way she will get proposed to. Some like pomp and circumstance, hearts and turtledoves, people to see that they were finally chosen to be someone’s mate for life. Others would like nothing more that the event to happen in a private setting, just them and their beloved, because it is the most romantic thing in the world.

It must hard for guys to figure out how their girl would like to be proposed to. What if she doesn’t want people to see her bawling her eyes out, slobbering while struggling to say “yes"? What if she declines out of excitement?

Then there are the types of men who would rather prank their girls towards a proposal and it usually works splendidly! One man took his girlfriend’s profession and her coworkers’ neat sense of humor to his advantage when he was planning to surprise the healthcare professional with THE RING!

Joseph Elkins's girlfriend was in the middle of her shift when she got called in the ER to assist with a patient in respiratory distress. Other nurses keep responding to a call, so this all seems legit to her. But when she reaches the patient, her mouth drop with realization that it is her boyfriend! He must have opened his eyes and smiled when she reached him, because she sighs out of relief and says to the attendant: “Don’t do that to me."

Joseph then gets off the gurney and kneels in front of her, with a white ring box in his hand and the most important question on his lips: “Will you marry me?" She manages to utter a “yes" in between screams, making this prank proposal a total success!
