ARRMA Kraton 4s 1st & 2nd Bash and Slipper Clutch Adjustment How To

First bashes done with the ARRMA Kraton 4s and I really like how it drives. It handles like a dream on the ground and in the air. As you can see, the first run didn't go perfectly for me. We had a break off a medium size backflip. I'll detail this below. I break a lot of RCs and am used to it happening when doing flips - but usually only for missed flips.

First off, I was sent this Kraton by Horizon Hobby to review, but will stress that I do not get paid by them or anyone for reviews. As always, I show what happens and give fair and honest reviews for you. There is no perfect RC and if someone says so in their reviews, I'd question it - especially and RTR. These are assembled by real people and there is always room for error during that process. My slipper was set looser than I would choose for it out of box, but other RTRs I've received have come too tight at times. So you will need to make some minor adjustments to tune it them to your liking.

The first break that you see in the video is partly due to the rotation during landing. Because I was still accelerating, it caused it to hit hard on landing. Should it have broke? Probably not. But you watch full size monster trucks break axles on backflips depending on how they land. The new stock part I bought took much harder hits and it fine. After inspecting the part, it looks like the plastic hadn't cured quite right or something because it was rough.

With any RC you plan to launch, you can usually expect for A-Arms or C-hubs to break at some point. Some cars I've even broke rims. It happens and is luckily an easy fix. When you do replace them, there are options out there like RPM which many in the hobby see as an upgrade. Their plastics are very durable. When I bough the replacement arm for this, I put it on to continue testing it, but also bought RPM arms that I plan to put on because I do like them on my bashers because they are flexible.

I'll also be showing how the truck handles and what it can take with those arms on. They are a less than $30 upgrade to replace all 4 lower arms. But for a truck that handles this well and is so much fun to jump, I think it will add to the overall durability and take it to the next level for a small investment.
