Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey says the fight against “Deep State” bureaucrats calls for reinvigorating the 10th Amendment, which states that any authority not explicitly given to the federal government is reserved for the states and the people of the states. “You see this alphabet soup of Deep State swamp rats at the federal agencies who are unelected and unaccountable to the electorate, who are making rules that have the full force and effect of law, then applying those laws to us and adjudicating disputes between ourselves and those agencies...Our Founding Fathers never contemplated that there would be this unaccountable fourth branch of government,” says Bailey. “It runs afoul of our democratic republic and our system of federalism.”
