B.C. becomes first province to remove criminal penalties for possession of some hard drugs
British Columbia has become the first province to be granted an exemption under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act to remove criminal penalties for possession of some hard drugs.
The three-year exemption is for people who possess a small amount of certain illicit substances for personal use.
The exemption will be in effect from Jan. 31, 2023, to Jan. 31, 2026, throughout B.C.

B.C. announces details of single-use plastics ban
Plastic shopping bags, polystyrene foam, biodegradable plastics to be phased out by December
The B.C. government says several single-use plastic items will be phased out by December as part of new rules aimed at tackling plastic pollution.
On Friday, provincial Minister of Environment and Climate Change Strategy George Heyman announced details of the new rules, which have been in the works since an intentions paper on the issue was published last April.

Trump's Top 10 Accomplishments
This year has been dominated by the pain and suffering thrust upon the globe by the criminal acts of the Chinese Communist Party. Even amid these harsh challenges, President Trump persevered to reach historic achievements. Therefore, as the year draws to its conclusion, it is worth detailing his 2020 accomplishments, as I have previously catalogued for each of the last three years.
These Trump-era tax breaks could come to an end in 2026 — how to prepare your finances so you don't end up owing Uncle Sam big time
The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) signed by former President Donald Trump in December 2017 was one of the largest federal tax overhauls the U.S. has ever seen.
It had a huge impact on how much money Americans had to pay back to Uncle Sam by lowering individual income tax rates, almost doubling the standard deduction and lifting the federal estate tax exemption, among other things.
Liberals are realising that Trump will probably win. And they are terrified
guess this means that they’re worried. By “this” I mean unhinged anti-Trump expostulations like “Trump’s Dire Words Raise New Fears About His Authoritarian Bent” in Monday’s New York Times.
