Frustrated Dog Tries To Bite The Bumper Off A Car After Chasing Some Cats

We all know that cats and dogs are natural enemies, right? But since there are so many videos out there of dogs being best buds with cats and accepting them as one of their own, we think it is pretty safe to say that dogs’ love of chasing down cats could be a learned thing, or some hunting breeds’ instinct to chase down small prey.

The following video shows what can happen when a powerful breed such as a Pitbull loses sight of its prey. A loose dog was chasing a couple of cats down a street in a neighborhood in Dalton, Georgia, USA, when the two sneaky felines found refuge under a jeep. A brand new jeep.

The two cats probably hid somewhere in the engine of the car, a place the bully can’t reach, and he couldn’t just crawl under there and chase them out. So he did the next best thing - express all that bottled up frustration on the poor car that got in the way!

The footage was shot by the car’s owner, Jessica Dilallo, on November 9, shows the dog biting and aggressively pulling on the front bumper of her brand new Dodge Durango. Dilallo went live on Facebook while pleading with the responding officer, Dalton Police Lieutenant Matthew Locke, to try to do something to stop the dog. Lt. Locke refused, telling Dilallo that the dog was not being aggressive to any humans.

Locke can be heard telling Ms. Dilallo that if he threw a rock at the dog or charge at him with a stick, he might let go of the bumper, but he will start chasing the humans that have gathered around the scene. While the owner of the car kept arguing with the officer about her rights, the dog can be seen running around the hood of the car and barking towards the cats inside in an attempt to run them out.

After four excruciating minutes of footage, the local rescue officers come to capture the dog safely. Whether or not the have succeeded is unknown.
