Girl's 11th Birthday Surprise Is A Huge Hit

Do you remember the first time you asked for a pet? You nagged your mom and your dad, begging for that sweet little ball of fluff that you saw on the street or at the pet store. “I’ll love ‘im, and pet ‘im, and feed ‘im, and walk ‘im…” were probably the words you chanted over and over, in the hopes of convincing mommy and daddy that you are old and mature enough to take care of another living being.

If you did do this and still didn’t get the pet of your dreams, we are sorry for opening up those old wound. We know it must have been hard. Still, it does not mean that we can’t feel happy for one little birthday girl for getting her wish.

Penelope always wanted a little puppy to call her own. She probably chanted the same words you did when you were little. But it seems that turning 11 proved to her parents that she is, in fact, mature enough to take care of another living being. So, on the day of her 11th birthday, her parents threw her the surprise she will never, ever forget!

Mom tells everyone to close their eyes, but Penelope is too anxious to see what will happen. Unfortunately, it wasn’t dark enough in the room and she caught a glimpse of what the huge surprise is all about. Dad brings forth a little ball of fluff, dressed in a sweater with a big bow on it. Cue the tears.

A dad wouldn’t be a dad if he didn’t make a joke in the worst possible moment, so while his daughter is giving her best to stay calm in this happy moment, her dad reaches out for the pup, saying “yeah, we only rented it, now we gotta take it back to the pet store.”
