Hidden Camera Catches Crafty Beagle Stealing Coffee Without Spilling It

So when Kristy noticed that her coffee was going missing from the van, Buddha was the logical suspect. She would come home from the grocery store and start carrying things into the house, leaving a half finished coffee in the cup holder as she did so. When she was done, she would see that her coffee had mysteriously vanished from where she left it. Buddha has never been accused of being smart. He was a rescued beagle, the victim of a terrible parasite problem when he was a puppy. The treatment and infection have caused him to have regular seizures. Although he is a happy dog, and very well loved, the seizures have taken their toll on his cognitive abilities and it was difficult to imagine that he would be able to get a coffee out of the van without spilling it.

Kristy and her husband decided to mount a few cameras in the van and see if it was him and also how he did it. As predicted, it didn't take long for Buddha's nose to lead him to the open door and up into the van. He went right for the coffee and grabbed the cup in his teeth. Amazingly though, he seems to understand the need to lift the cup high enough to clear the edge of the cup holder and the seat. He barely tips it as he makes his way to the open door and jumps down.

Watching from nearby, they saw Buddha making his getaway with the cup and they followed him through the treeline and into the back field. It was here that Buddha managed to get the lid off and his muzzle into the cup to gulp it down.

Not surprisingly, there was a little collection of coffee cups near his secret spot!
