What is the Animal Behaviour Apprenticeship (ABA)?

People keep asking me what I do for a living, so I thought I'd show you; it's easier that way. ABA students learn to free-shape* behaviour and never use lures, aka food bribes; they are forbidden at the Dogue Academy.

The Dogue Academy is a dog training school for future professionals. It's part of the Dogue Shop, founded in 1999, and I have been teaching the Animal Behaviour Apprenticeship since 2009.

Students come from across Canada or internationally for the hands-on learning the Dogue Academy provides. We have students in Ontario, New Brunswick, Alberta, Scotland, Ecuador, Panama, etc.

2024 concluded the Dogue Shop's 25th anniversary; you might want to watch until the end. I have an offer for you.

Cheers.

* Free-shaping is achieved without physically being near or touching the animal. In some cases, there is an actual barrier between the trainer and the animal, normally for safety measures.

I've trained animals professionally for 35 years and have been teaching animal behaviour for 12 years. I share training and behaviour videos with you to deepen your human-animal bond, and I do this without ever using lures.
