Nova Scotia Gives Me a Blustery Send Off | Ep. 242

Two months ago I arrived in Shelburne, Nova Scotia. Now in late October it is past time to depart for warmer waters, but fair weather sailing conditions are becoming increasingly elusive. Originally bound for Cape Cod, I compromise and head for Maine, a shorter run that gives me a better wind angle. The passage starts off nice enough, but just south of Cape Sable the winds pipe up and I'm getting into a nasty chop amplified by the strong tidal currents.
