How to Read Tarot Cards | Tarot 101 | Tips from an Intuitive Tarot Reader

The aim of this course is to acquaint you with the system of Tarot,uses, the background behind it, and hopefully you will finish thecourse with a deep understanding of the cards and the knowledgeneeded to interpret them. Throughout the course we will cover diverse topics ranging from the history of the Tarot to intuition, how toread for others, and Tarot spreads you can use. After some of thelessons there will be extra 'tasks' for you to do. These are optional,and are aimed at those who wish to study Tarot a little deeper. After the lessons there will also be a Further Reading list if applicable, for those who wish to expand their knowledge of specific areas of thecourse. There will also be a list of Key Terms arising from eachlesson at the end of the lesson, so you can re-cap on what youlearned and turn to if you are not sure what a term means.You may notice as we progress through the course, that we do nottouch upon the actual meanings of the cards themselves until quitelate into the course. This is for a specific reason, and is not justbecause of incompetence on my part! Tarot essentially, is an art formwhich employs the intuition, imagination, and a deep understandingof 'the way things are', and as such, it is a very personal art form,which differs from person to person. The traditional meanings of thecards, whilst being useful, are only a rough guideline as to what thecards mean: Ultimately, it is your intuition and understanding whichtells you the meanings, which can change from reading to readingdepending on the question or person you are reading for. This coursetherefore, aims to help you develop the understanding needed, andguide you to ways in which you can cultivate your own approach tothe Tarot, which will provide you with a platform from which to leapinto a system of divination which can become a lifelong study!You will need a Tarot deck for this course, though it is not essentialuntil we reach Lesson 3, and Lesson 4 will provide you withinformation on how to choose a Tarot deck. This course does notrequire you to own a specific deck, though there arerecommendations of decks in Lesson 1. These recommendations arenot set in stone however, as personal taste, religion, and interests willaffect which decks you find most suitable.For your benefit, here is a brief outline of the course, so you can seewhat topics we will be covering.
