Seeking Spiritual Wisdom

In our walk with Christ, are there moments where you just want to talk with Him? Are there moments when you just want to spend some quiet time trying to listen to Him? If you have those moments, then you are in good company. Most of us who are walking with Christ desire to spend as much time as we can with Him. Why do you think that is? Is it because the Lord wants your attention and He wants you to be devoted to Him? Or do you think the desire comes from within, wanting to spend more time with Him? I believe both cases are true and if you seek Him, He will find you. But I also believe the Lord wants you to seek Him in ways that will drive you to the knowledge that God wants to impart to you. This is His will as we have learned from the bible.

Through prayer, we open up that line of communication. We also provide in most cases the time required to speak to Him. The time required to listen to Him. When we pray most of our time should be spent listening and waiting on Him to speak into our hearts and our minds. I liken it to being in 'listen mode' versus 'transmit mode'.
