Splitting beehives using the Demaree method | Trying something new this year.

This year I am going to try to accomplish two goals by using a swarm control method called the Demaree method. Goal one is to prevent the hives from swarming and goal two is to produce a massive honey harvest. Unlike previous seasons when I split off half of the colony into a separate box; this year I will try to trick the bees into staying put. The more bees in the box, the more nectar collected, the more honey to harvest. Let's hope it all works out.
