Let's get back on track with regards to enforcement authority of the Quarantine Act. We originally reported that the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) officers didn't have the authority to write tickets. While this remains true, the lack of authority goes back to the Minister of Justice (MOJ) not through the Contraventions Act as previously stated in the self-rep Zoom. The short and skinny, PHAC has no authority to issue tickets the origin of this is from another Act. We'll clear this up tonight.

The Stand4THEE site has been updated with these newest learnings regarding the Quarantine charges and there are several motion templates ready to use. You can find this information HERE https://stand4thee.com/quarantine-act-1.

Next, the House has been busy churning out many bills and initiatives that if passed, will have serious negative consequences to Canadians. Let's look at the most pressing;
1. Bill C-63, the online harms act passed the first reading;
2. This makes up a series of Acts, the carbon tax increase is set to start April 1st;
3. Bill C-59, digital service sales tax;
4. BILL C-347, an act to make the oath to the King optional.
