As part of its newly established orthopedic practice, Saint Joseph’s Medical Center has introduced its cutting-edge surgical robot, named ARTHUR.

Utilizing Stryker’s MakoTM Robotic-Arm Assisted Technology, ARTHUR specializes in performing robotic-assisted orthopedic surgeries, including partial and total knee replacements, as well as total hip replacements.

This introduction marks a significant advancement in the hospital’s commitment to enhancing its orthopedic services, particularly with the integration of Southern Westchester Orthopedics and Sports Medicine into Saint Joseph’s Medical Practice, PC.

The leadership of this new orthopedic practice is helmed by renowned orthopedic surgeons David Lent and Eric Spencer, the Bronx Times reported.
