There is a hidden talent in every kid. While others love to dance, sing or act, others like to keep things tidy, the build miniatures with ease, paint or even juggle. Whatever it is, every kid deserves to be allowed to nurture that talent.

Thanks to the televised talent shows, all of these talents can now be showcased to the public and many, both young and old, get to practice them for real. But we are not here to talk about the painter or jugglers. We are here to talk about a talented little singer from Ireland who swooped the judges off their feet with her rendition of an old and very famous song!

This is 9-year-old Cora Harkin. When the little girl from Derry stood on stage in front of Louis Walsh, Denise Van Outen, Michelle Visage and Jason Byrne to perform her rousing rendition of Barbra Streisand’s ‘Don't Rain On My Parade’, no one expected her clear voice and incredible pitch!

The judges were left in awe! Every single one of them had the best things to say about her singing, calling her “the second coming of Barbra Streisand”. All four judges were on their feet, joining the thunderous applause from the audience. Just wow!

Cora still sings, even in the comfort of her own home. It doesn’t matter if it’s a crammed auditorium or her parent’s living room, her voice resonates with such clarity, it is difficult not to feel moved by it.
