It is always great giving to others that are less fortunate. Some people grew up in very different circumstances and it is if you can lend these people a helping hand! Some of these people come in the form of refugees. A refugee is a person that is forced to leave their country due to certain circumstances. These circumstances include war, natural disaster, persecution, violence, etc. Unfortunately, when refugees leave their country, they are leaving everything behind: their clothes, homes, jobs, sometimes family, friends, and mostly their comfort. It is so hard for them to adapt to their new country of living and very hard to get on their feet.

Thankfully, this organization, RefugeesCode, offers a programming school for refugees to help them learn and eventually get a job! RefugeesCode is an Austrian based coding school for refugees to learn how to code from experienced programmers. Their main goal and focus is the integration into the work marketplace for their course attendees. This is great, not only are these students learning how to program and code for free, but they are also getting opportunities at internships and jobs! It is great that the people at RefugeesCode care enough to help with this difficult task! RefugeesCode does the recruiting, training, and placement once they have completed the course! Coding and programming is such a lucrative field currently, with the advancements of technology, every company needs programmers to help them out if they want to survive in this day and age.

The salary can be extremely high and there doesn’t seem to be a shortage of jobs for this field, since computers are the present and the future, this will definitely be a lucrative career choice for a long time! This is great for these people that are learning coding for free as it gives them a sense of security for when they get into the job marketplace. They can be at rest knowing they have a stable job and a very important one! The students in the video are working on a joystick project for a type of video game controller. The program is said to last 9 months, so this is great progress in their training!

Alexander Hartveld, one of the co-founders, wants to bring people together with coding. They call it a universal language because no matter your situation or where you’re from, you can find similarities and comfort with others through coding! Using technology to unite people as well as create useful solutions for real world issues is one of the things important to Hartveld.

The program is centered in Vienna and is for everyone to come and learn but it is free for refugees. This is meant to allow everyone to come together and grow and learn as one! RefugeesCode is doing an amazing thing for people in need and are looking for a brighter future! This programming training gives them hope and a potential career! This is amazing video and RefugeesCode should be honored for the amazing things they are doing for the people of Austria!
