Explode-o-Vine is a member of the Pepper-Mint family.
Explode-o-Vine costs 150 Sun. (-25 Sun at levels 2, 3, 7 and 10.)
Explode-o-Vine does 900 damage when planted. (+25 damage per level. +25 additional damage on levels 3, 9 and 10.)
Explode-o-Vine does 1,800 damage when eaten. (+50 damage per level. +50 additional damage on levels 8, 9 and 10.)
Explode-o-Vine's explosion knocks back all zombies 1.5 tiles. (+5% distance per level.)

Commentary:
Many plants just do one thing. Some plants do multiple things. Getting one strong effect makes a plant worth considering. When a plant does two (2) things well - it is worthy of being on the list of best plants in the game. That's what we have here. For the cost of a Cherry Bomb, Explode-o-Vine gives you half of a Cherry Bomb's damage now and a full Cherry Bomb damage when eaten. In addition, the knockback effect is strong enough to give the player time to recover. This is also a great plant to utilize on those levels where one must protect endangered plants. Vines must be eaten first so Explode-o-Vine will literally give his life to protect the endangered plant.

Bottom Line:
We will not sugar-coat this: GET THIS PLANT!

We also try to vary the strategies from week to week and showcasing different plants and strategies and ideas. Using the same strategy week after week would be boring to see.
