Dive into the world of vaudeville comedy with this black and white film from 1904! Filmed as if from the audience of a variety theater, the scene unfolds on a stage with a painted backdrop of a city street corner. A boy leads a seemingly blind man onto the stage, where the man kneels down and lays down his hat and cane, while the boy displays a sign reading "Pity the Blind" around the man's neck. Watch as audience members, including a gentleman with a cigar and two well-dressed women, drop coins in the blind man's hat. But as one of the women adjusts her tights, the supposed blind man reveals his true sight, leaving behind a cheeky smile.
