When you suffer from chronic fatigue, perfectionism is the last thing you need. As someone who has struggled with dozens of symptoms and fatigue for over 4 years, I know how hard it can be to recover while trying to meet your own impossible standards. But there's one thing that has helped me heal: letting go and accepting my limitations. You might not believe this at first because when you're in the midst of suffering from chronic fatigue, it feels like everything is getting worse - no matter what you do. It's important to remember that healing takes time - and sometimes more than we think we have.

Remember - you are not perfect. Rather than constantly striving for perfectionism, it's important to focus on the things in life that make you happy. If all you do is work for recognition, money, or take care of others, then your body will be too tired to heal itself. It's also important to let go of any expectations when you are sick with ME/CFS because the more expectations you have the more disappointed you will probably be (things rarely go according to plan when you have this illness).

A lot of them think that by working harder and trying to be perfect at everything they do, they'll get better faster. This is a myth that can prevent you from getting well. You cannot recover by being a perfectionist! In this video, I will explain what the reality is about CFS and why it's important for you to stop striving for perfectionism as soon as possible.
