[Originally recorded and posted in February 2022] In this video I break down exactly what the Federal Reserve means by "quantitative tightening". We'll explore the moderate and more aggressive forms of QT, as well as the impact such policy will have on US Treasurys and the bond market and the economy more generally. Inflation is threatening to spin out of control -- how aggressive will Jerome Powell and the Fed be in reducing the size of its balance sheet? As interest rates rise, as liquidity is drained from the system, what does it mean for the US economy?
