Hospital trials therapy dogs to boost patient morale

Barcelona's Hospital del Mar and the Affinity Foundation launched a trial dog therapy program to improve the emotional well-being of ICU patients. “When they told me that some dogs could come, it was like wow,” said patient Joel Bueno. ICU doctor Lucia Picazo said that, for patients, "therapy like this helps them and takes a bit of stress off them."
