Nearly 60,000 people have been evacuated from theirhomes in China, after days of heavy rain causedflooding in the Guangdong province.

At least three people have died, and 11 people aremissing, according to state media.

Several major rivers have burst their banks, andauthorities are closely monitoring "dangerously high"water levels.

Much of Guangdong is part of the low-lying Pearl Riverdelta, which is prone to floods due to the rise in sealevels and storm surges. It is also one of the country'smost densely-populated regions, with Guangdongalone home to around 127 million people.
