New evidence challenges Pentagon’s account of attack as US withdrew from Afghanistan

CNN has uncovered new video evidence that challenges Pentagon investigations into an ISIS-K suicide attack outside Kabul airport in August 2021, during the US troop withdrawal from Afghanistan.

The incident resulted in the deaths of 13 US service members and around 170 Afghans seeking evacuation.

Previously, the military attributed the casualties to a single explosion, dismissing reports of gunfire.

However, video footage and eyewitness testimonies reveal extensive gunfire, contradicting official accounts.
