New York Judge Threatens Trump With Jail Time for Contempt

Judge Juan Merchan has ruled that Donald Trump violated the gag order he issued on him nine times. The former President has been ordered to pay a $9,000 fine - $1,000 for each violation. In his ruling, the judge also said, “Defendant is hereby warned that the Court will not tolerate continued willful violations of its lawful orders and that if necessary and appropriate under the circumstances, it will impose an incarceratory punishment.”Show more
