Ukraine foils assassination attempt on Zelensky

Ukraine’s intelligence agency, the SBU, claims to have foiled a Russian plot to assassinate President Zelensky.

The SBU uncovered a network of agents allegedly orchestrated by Russian intelligence, the FSB, which included two Ukrainian colonels leaking sensitive information.

The suspects, from Ukraine’s State Security Administration, face charges of treason and potential life imprisonment.

The plan involved using drones and rocket launchers to attack Zelensky and other officials, with one colonel caught attempting to acquire explosives.

The plot also targeted the heads of Ukraine’s intelligence agencies, the U.S. Sun has reported.
