Historian and peace researcher Dr. Daniele Ganser looks back in this video on the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 in the USA and the collapse of WTC7. These attacks, commonly known as 9/11, are the deadliest terrorist attacks in history in terms of the number of casualties. After these terrorist attacks, the USA, under the command of President George Bush from 2001, went to war in Afghanistan and from 2003 in Iraq. Both wars were illegal since President Bush did not have a mandate from the UN Security Council. Many believe that back then only two towers collapsed in New York: WTC1 and WTC2, the famous Twin Towers. But that's not true. WTC7 also collapsed that day, without being hit by an airplane. BBC reported the collapse 20 minutes too early while the building was still standing. WTC7 had 47 floors and was 186 meters tall. It collapsed completely in just 7 seconds. During the first two and a quarter seconds, the tower fell at free-fall speed, without any resistance, accelerating downwards due to gravity. How is this possible? How could 81 vertical steel columns lose their stability simultaneously?

For a long time, there has been controversy over whether fire or explosion caused the collapse. More and more observers, including Daniele Ganser, conclude 22 years after the attacks that only demolition can logically explain the collapse of WTC7. This means that we have never been honestly informed about the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. 9/11 triggered the so-called 'war on terror.' Anthropologist Dr. Stephanie Savell, who leads the project 'Costs of War' at Brown University, has examined the number of deaths caused by the 'war on terror,' also taking into account the indirect victims of these wars. These include people who did not die as a result of combat but due to lack of medical care, destroyed infrastructure, or hunger. Savell states that the wars investigated in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, and Somalia, all part of the 'war on terror,' directly claimed around 937,000 lives. In addition, there are the indirect deaths of war, totaling about 3.7 million people. Therefore, the interventions by the USA after 9/11 accounted for approximately 4.5 million lives. (Source: Stephanie Savell: How Death outlives war. Costs of War. Brown University May 15, 2023). Hence, a critical discussion about 9/11 is important to find out what really happened back then.
