Swiss historian and peace researcher Dr. Daniele Ganser gave a lecture on October 25, 2020 in Dresden on the assassination of US President John F. Kennedy in Dallas on November 22, 1963. President Kennedy was assassinated in the city center of Dallas while on a campaign trip in Texas with multiple gunshots fired during a drive in an open car. The sole perpetrator accused was then 24-year-old Lee Harvey Oswald. He was arrested and presented to the public. Two days later, Oswald was to be transferred to the Dallas State Penitentiary. However, Oswald was shot by nightclub owner Jack Ruby in the basement of the police building before any charges or trial could take place. In his lecture, Daniele Ganser revisits the historical case. There are many inconsistencies in the official account of events, which the Warren Commission, under the influence of former CIA Director Allan Dulles, presented in their 800-page report at that time. Was the murder of John F. Kennedy not the act of a lone madman, but a conspiracy by certain groups who wanted to eliminate the President? Was Lee Harvey Oswald even the murderer? What can be gleaned from the film by Abraham Zapruder, which shows the assassination? What role did CIA Director Allen Dulles play, who was dismissed by President Kennedy after the failed secret CIA invasion of Cuba in April 1961 and then became his archenemy until his death?
