Kristi Noem banned by two more Native tribes in South Dakota

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem, once considered a potential running mate for Donald Trump, has been banned from almost a fifth of the state by various Native American tribes.

This ban follows Noem’s unfounded accusations against tribal leaders of benefiting from drug cartels.

Recent controversies, including her admission of killing a dog and a goat in her book and false claims about meeting Kim Jong-un and canceling a meeting with Emmanuel Macron, have further damaged her reputation.

Noem’s disputes with tribes escalated after she accused some leaders of aiding drug cartels.

The tribes cite ongoing issues like Noem’s support for the Keystone XL pipeline and opposition to reservation checkpoints during the pandemic, The Guardian has reported.
