How To Get Funding For Celiac Disease Research And Awareness

Write to your Senators and House of Representatives, and ask them to support funding for celiac disease research.
Also, write to corporations, philanthropists, local politicians, and small businesses, and ask them to help raise celiac disease awareness by making a social media post or donating to a celiac disease charity. Additionally, contact drug and insurance companies and tell them we need a cure for celiac disease. Email them, send them a message through social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, etc.), and write them a handwritten letter and mail it to their office, with a stamp.
Contact anyone you think can help.

Sample Letter:
Dear Representative (Name of your politician), I am writing to bring attention to an important issue that affects millions of Americans: Celiac Disease. As you and your administration focus on healthcare and public health initiatives, I urge you to consider including funding for Celiac Disease research, awareness, and support in future budgets and legislative efforts. Even a simple social media post pointing out that May is Celiac Disease Awareness Month can be helpful. Celiac disease is recognized as one of the world's most common genetic autoimmune disorders, affecting over 1% of the population. Despite this recognition, most cases remain undiagnosed. It is estimated that 3 to 5 percent of the population may have celiac disease. Prevalence has increased four to fivefold since 1950 for reasons not understood. Currently, there is no medication or cure for celiac disease, nor is there an effective method for prevention. The only course of action is to follow a strict gluten-free diet. Innovative research is required to find a cure for any disease, but up until recently, federal funding for celiac disease has been very limited, creating a shortage of resources for researchers.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Please help us find a cure or medication for this disease.
Sincerely,
