Out of all the talkative dogs on this fair planet, there seems to be nothing that can beat the Husky. Boy, can they be loud! With such an independent character, who can blame them? They rarely bark, since they are as closest to the wolves of the modern age, that they stick to their primal instinct - howling.

While it may be a nuisance for your neighbors, you Husky will actually be able to communicate with every dog up and down your street by just howling. Even if the other dogs never howl, your pet wolf-dog will answer the message with a howl. Like this guy did, and very assuringly at that.

Odin hears his buddy barking down the street, so he howls in return. Aesop, however, is just too cool to do that. Aesop & Odin are Siberian Huskies from Madison, Wyoming. Good thing there are houses all around them, so the neighbors probably don’t notice their ancestral instincts. Or maybe they do since there are two of them!

Huskies are a breed that rarely barks, but they do like to howl. A lot! The reason behind it is that this is something Huskies in the wild do to communicate with each other. It is not something to worries yourself over with, because your domesticated Husky will not just go outside and call on his wild cousins. But if you live near a busy street, one that gets frequented by squad cars or ambulance vehicles, you can bet that they will entice your Husky into howling. The only way you may recognize if your Husky really loves howling if the dog keeps up with it even after the siren is long gone.

Seeking professional help might be your best chance at curbing your dog’s call for the wild if you find yourself unable to do it on your own. You may want to try and keep your dog active. An hour a day of walking and playing is your best shot. They will tire out the dog and prevent any long bouts of howling.

The dog might also be howling for attention or interaction with the owner. If you notice your pet Husky howling more than usual, it might be best that you spend more time with it. Show your pet how loved it is, not just when it starts to howl, but all the time. It may sound like you may be neglecting your dog, but every individual is different and your dog might want to spend more time with you than any other.

If you were to ask us what Husky doesn’t howl or bark, we can only think of one dog - Millie. She is a famous Instagram Husky, known for her incredibly sweet demeanor and her undying love and devotion to her owner Aaron Wallman. When Aaron and his wife brought their baby Parker into the home, Millie and her brother Rupert has to step in as four-legged siblings to the new addition to the family and Millie proved, once again, that she is a star!

Sweet Millie stares into the baby’s eyes, while the baby’s mom gently strokes her on the head and gives her warm praises. The charming Husky then turns to her first love, her owner, who is recording the sweet moment and looks at him with those big brown eyes that have made her famous in the first place.
