On July 17th 2018, Pam Anderson, a local resident from Penticton, British Columbia recorded this footage from a beach near her home. Pam stated “There were three fires active when I recorded this. Two across the lake on the Naramata side and one on the left outside of Peachland near Antler Beach”. ”There are eight water bombers working hard on this fire, but they are hard to see once they fly into the smoke”. Fire crews around the Okanagan and Similkameen were responding to dozens of fires and wildfires caused by lightning strikes earlier in the evening.
