Police officer in kayak rescues woman from sinking car in Detroit River

A woman has been rescued from the Detroit River. She drove her car into the water near West Jefferson. It happened around 3:30 p.m. The woman went into the water from West Road, near Riverside Drive. A police officer got into a kayak and managed to rescue her from her sinking vehicle. The officer grabbed the Kayak from a backyard and was able to paddle out to the kayak, break a woman and rescue the woman.
