James Gandolfini’s Son Cast As Tony Soprano For ‘Sopranos’ Prequel

Do we have any crime drama fans out there? Do you remember the Sopranos TV Show? Were you a fan of the TV Show? If you were, sit still we have great news for you. For the others who never heard about the fantastic drama let’s tell us a few details so we can include you in the story. It was a fascinating show about a mob boss from New Jersey named Tony Soprano who faced difficulties trying to have a normal life with his family but also running a mobster organization.

This is all explored through his sessions with his therapist Jennifer Melfi. The TV Show was aired on January 10, 1999, on HBO and it ran for six seasons with totally 86 episodes. The show ended on June 10, 2007. The Sopranos is widely regarded as one of the most excellent television series of all time.

The Sopranos just commended the twentieth anniversary of its dispatch and is generally viewed as one of the best dramatization arrangement consistently, running six seasons from 1999-2007 and winning 21 Primetime Emmy Awards, five Golden Globes and Peabody Awards for its initial two seasons. It was a remarkable show, and that’s why the ‘Sopranos’ is coming back to television.

They are working on a ‘Sopranos’ prequel, and the new actor who will be playing young Tony Soprano is James Gandolfini’s son, Michael Gandolfini. Wow, what an honor to be performed by your son. And we can see why their resemblance is remarkable!

19-year-old Gandolfini told Deadline, “It’s a profound honor to continue my dad’s legacy while stepping into the shoes of a young Tony Soprano.”
The prequel, headed by “Sopranos” creator David Chase, will reportedly focus on Newark, New Jersey and the 1967 race riots that swept the city at the time. The production does not have a title or release date, but will also star Jon Bernthal, Vera Farmiga, and Corey Stoll.
Unfortunately, his dad won't is here to see his son’s success. James Gandolfini died from heart attack at age 51 in 2013 while traveling to Rome with his family, and his son was the one who found him dead.

The late performing artist's child has been picking up involvement and had a breakout turn on the HBO show 'The Deuce.' His similarity to Tony Soprano is uncanny. The movie producers occupied with a full tryout procedure to locate the youthful Tony before Gandolfini won the job.

Vera Farmiga, Alessandro Nivola, and Jon Bernthal will also have roles in the film, and we believe that it will be a fantastic prequel and will be directed by Alan Taylor. Michael has been acting since he was 15 years old. He is known for his roles in Flower (2015) the drama ‘The Deuce’ (2017) and a small role in ‘Ocean’s Eight’ (2018).
