Pug Puppy Absolutely Loves To Get Herself Vacuumed

This is a rare sight. Most dogs (and we don’t think there’s a scientific poll out there that backs our claim) run in fear of the vacuum cleaner. But little Bamei seems to anticipate the cleaning with relish. First you bow and wag your tail, because you’re not afraid! You want to be vacuumed. Then, you approach the vacuum like an old pro, which you are. Little Bamei would take time to gloat, but she’s next in line, and in the sport of dog pampering, you snooze, you lose.

How did Bamei get to be such a pampered pro with the vacuum cleaner? It probably has something to do with behavioral techniques such as operant conditioning, and more specifically, desensitization. It’s likely that at an early age her mistress used the vacuum near her on many occasions, getting closer and closer, eventually running the vacuum aperture over her. To her delight, Bamei discovered the sensation felt good, and was hooked from that moment on.

Bamei is described as waddling over, and it is so funny to see. She’s a pudgy little thing, but no one wants to shame her. In fact, it’s a good bet that everybody watching this would love to just reach into the screen and scratch and scratch that pudgy little bratwurst of a pooch. Her lying down technique is not very refined, either. She tilts to the starboard side and lets gravity tip her over like a swamped schooner. Once she goes, she’s committed to lying prone. But, that’s ok, because here comes the best part!

Oh, my! The rich, luxurious delight. Bamei tries to lie on her back so that the vacuum gets the best parts. “This can’t be happening to me. Can life really feel this good? What’d I do to be such a lucky dog?”

“Here. No, here! That’s it. Now, here!” Oh, Bamei, we could watch you indulging in this decadent pleasure all morning long. Yep, there go the legs. Twitching and kicking…she’s on autopilot, now. This is just too much enjoyment, and yet there are no other dogs around to show off to. Bamei has the spa all to herself. The dedicated treatment makes being an “only child” worth it.

You’ve come a long way from the harsh, short life of the wolf pack, Bamei. If there’s any area of your life that could be changed, it would be…nothing! Except, perhaps, go easy on the leftovers.
