A Glen Burnie homeowner was given a sudden jolt when reviewing footage from a Ring Video camera. An incoming storm was announced with a lighting bolt that struck a tree in the yard of a home near where the Stoney Creek and Big Burley Cove meet, near the Waterwood Trail. The homeowner said no one was hurt, except the tree, Ring Video said in a release containing the compelling video. The camera’s motion sensor technology initiated the recording mechanism as the lightning struck, sending a notification to the homeowner’s mobile phone. The homeowner shared the video online, with a cheeky caption: “This is pretty intense. No one was hurt. Maybe two people have soiled their pants but came out unscathed.”
