NKY shelter expands hours to serve homeless during heavy rains

In response to a 50 percent increase in need, Kim Webb says the shelter will open two hours earlier every day this week. "They were getting wet faster outside, so their clothes were getting dirtier faster, and so we just decided -- and we have the flexibility to do this -- we expanded our shower and laundry time, and expanded what we were willing to launder," said Webb.
