This morning at around 8:44 a.m. the Hackettstown Fire Department and Police Department assisted with rescuing a fawn that was trapped approximately five feet down a hole at a residence on Valentine St. A backhoe was used to dig a larger hole and it took approximately one hour to safely remove the fawn. The fawn was uninjured and left nearby for its mother.
